The Oric-1 is a home computer introduced by Tangerine Computers Ltd of Ely, Cambridgeshire. It replaced their earlier Microtan-65 machine and has the same 6502 processor. It is a really neat and small machine, with nice graphics and sound. At the time it was also competitively priced, so it is perhaps a surprise that it was not more popular. The museum's machine was working perfectly when donated, and didn't need any repairs. It gets taken to the museum's occasional road-trip events, where you can experience what it's like to use.
