PCS - 1995 to 2000

Back to exhibit sections

In Windows 95 the Start Menu was invented. You may not realise that the start menu key (between the CTRL and ALT keys) on your keyboard didn't exist before then (as you'll see from our early 90s exhibits). Windows 95 brought not only a massive evolution in operating systems, but also saw mass adoption of personal computers and the very early days of personal internet access.

Our exhibit list is currently being populated and isn't yet complete so please watch this space.
