This machine was originally owned by Lewisham Council in London, where the father of Rob (the museum founder) worked. He later purchased it second hand and it was used by Rob’s grandfather in Derby, before being given to Rob as he thought it’d be a future collectable (that was more than 20 years ago; long before he thought of opening a museum!) For storage it has a 5.25” floppy disk drive and a 20MB hard drive (thought to be an “MFM” hard drive which predates IDE). The keyboard has shortcuts above the “F” number function keys for WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS. The screen is black and white. |
