Which exhibits are hands on and which are not

We're a "hands on" museum

As you can read about on our hands on page we are a hands on museum meaning that the vast majority of our exhibits are not just things you can see; you can touch them, use them, play on them!

We currently have approx 60 hands on exhibits.

Which exhibits are not "hands on"?

There are some types of exhibits which are not "hands" on, such as in these examples:-

• Fragile exhibits (such as palm tops) which are put in display cabinets
• Rare and/or very expensive exhibits such as games console development kits
• Special displays, such as our history of removable media display cabinets
• Displays such as boxed software, boxed games, etc
• Smal items that may be easy to steal / prone to theft

Are all the exhibits listed on the website on display?

No. There are exhibits that might be listed on our exhibits pages that you won't see in the musuem because they're either being restored, in storage, a spare exhibit, not currently in circulation and waiting for "their moment" or reserved for our "road show" kit for when we do outside events.
