Directions & entrance

The museum is located on Iron Gate between the marketplace and the cathedral, opposite the top of Sadler Gate.

Easy ways to find us...

1. Walk to the top of Sadler Gate, and look straight ahead to your left... there we are!

OR


2. Go to Derby Cathedral, walk towards the market place, and you'll see us on the left just before Bet Fred and Nandos, and just after Leaders (we're on the floors above Leaders and The Escape Room Guys)

OR


3. From Derby Market Place, or Derby Market Hall, walk towards Derby Cathedral. We are on the right after you pass Nandos and Bet Fred on your right, or Sadler Gate and Jorrocks on your left

Then... look out for our spray painted Mario from the wonderful Raze Murals

In the pictures below you can see where our entrance door is.

Press the entrance button to the left of the door for entry (press and hold for 5 seconds). This is only activated on Saturdays 10am to 3pm (we're open until 4pm but last entry is at 3pm)

Please do NOT hit buzzers to the flats trying to get someone to let you in outside of our opening hours as our internal doors will also be closed.

Train

The nearest train station is Derby Midland Station (DBY).

Please note that Derby's train station is oddly not in the city centre! It is about a 20-25 minute walk or a bus ride away.

Bus

Derby bus terminal is just a few minutes walk from the museum.
