The museum is located on Iron Gate between the marketplace and the cathedral, opposite the top of Sadler Gate.
You can find the entrance to the museum between Betfred and the old Birds Bakery shop at 3-4 Iron Gate.
In the pictures below you can see where our entrance door is.
Press the entrance button for entry. This is only activated on Saturdays 10am to 3pm (we're open until 4pm but last entry is at 3pm)
Please do NOT hit buzzers to the flats trying to get someone to let you in outside of our opening hours as our internal doors will also be closed.
The nearest train station is Derby Midland Station (DBY).
Please note that Derby's train station is oddly not in the city centre! It is about a 20-25 minute walk or a bus ride away.
Derby bus terminal is just a few minutes walk from the museum.
